Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Have had the hot Golds for over two years, no problems.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
I installed a Lace Hot Gold pickguard in a Squire Affinity Strat and it totally transformed the guitar. The cheap pickups that came with the guitar were noisy and weak. The Lace Hot Golds are quiet and give you the glassy bell tone a strat should have. I would imagine the Hot Golds would sound even better in a good guitar with a full size trem block but I can't believe what they have done for my Squire!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Action
How was the action out of the box?
