Product Description

The Laney LC15 110 sets the standard, it may look like a baby, but it sounds like a real mother. 15 watts RMS of pure EL84 tone into a 10 inch Custom designed Celestion speaker produces unadulterated pure valve tone. The LC15 110 uniquely combines a pre/post gain control, with reverb, an FX loop and an external speaker socket, which allows you to get great sparkling clean tones or full on. Try running an LC15 110 into a Laney 4 x 12 cabinet and give your neighbours a BIG treat.

Playability and Feel
Great grab n go amp!
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
It is a typical build for a mass produced amp. Seems about average in that regard.
How has it stood up over time?
The first one had a buzzing issue, but AMS did an exchange, and they did it quickly...thank you AMS! This one has some hours on it, and it is working well. I have not traveled much with it at this point. However, given my experience with this type of build, I see no reason to worry as long as reasonable care is taken during transport.
Your general opinion of this product.
It is a great product at this price point!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The tone is an interesting blend of a modern type sound with a definite nod to the Vox sound. The crunch is goes from an older school crunch to a more modern type high gain. I like the low to mid crunch, you can do classic rock and hard blues with ease, up to about late 70s crunch It gets fuzzy at higher levels, not a bad fuzz, though. Although I'm not into fuzz, if you're into something like the band Blue Cheer, it would be great. There is very little clean headroom with this amp...maybe enough for recording, but it would be very limited at a gig. I use medium output humbuckers, low output P90s, and standard Tele pickups; all work very well with this amp. The Celestion G10N-40 speaker works well with this combo. The reverb is ok, but I don't use reverb. It'll get you by if you do. Overall, it covers crunchy classic rock and hard blues quite nicely. I am very happy with the Laney LC15110!
How did the stain or paint job look?
Nice looking cab, tolex is on straight, and all that. A cage protects the tubes.
How was the action out of the box?
