Amp Models

Clean
Inspired by the Eden Traveler, this model is all about clean, funk and fusion bass tone. It’ll give you all the warm lows and punchy highs you need.

R&B
Inspired by the ‘68 B-15 Flip Top, this model is a tribute to those late 60s and early 70s clean, fat bass tones. It is the kind of tone you hear on most Motown recordings, as played by a pioneering young bassist, James Jamerson.

Rock
This model is inspired by a classic of the genre, the ’74 Ampeg SVT, which has appeared on innumerable recordings and arena stages worldwide. Now, all the tone of the head and 300-pound behemoth 8x10 cab is available without having to lookup a chiropractor.

Brit
Based on a ’68 Marshall Super Bass, this model delivers the kind of overdriven bass sounds brought to us by late ‘60s British rock pioneers like Cream and The Who.

Grind
As the name would suggest, this is for modern rock lovers—Alice in Chains to Mudvayne and Rage Against The Machine. Based on a distorted SansAmp PSA-1 into an SVT with a direct clean bass signal mixed in, this model gives you that angry, clear and punchy aggression that cuts through the mix and takes your sound to defcon 1.

Effects Models

Compressor
This pro LA-2A-style compressor is ideal for every bass player and particularly useful for the ones who play with their fingers—achieve a smooth and consistent signal at any volume.

Envelope filter
Based on a Q-Tron, this is the baddest envelope filter on the planet. This effect can be heard on tons of major funk and rock tunes.

Octaver
Based on the EBS OctaBass, this effect produces a single note one octave below the note you’re playing to add a powerful new vibe to your sound.

Chorus
Based on the much loved T.C. Electronic Chorus. This is the most transparent, smooth and expressive chorus ever built for bass—and using it won’t reduce your low end. It’s especially beautiful with fretless basses.

Synth
Sitting at the back of the model knob is this secret weapon that turns LowDown into a ’70s classic bass synth. From funk to modern rock, this fully adjustable synth delivers incredible tones while tracking every dynamic move you make!

Subject:All the reasons why this amp kicks butt
Quality: Built like a chrome plated tank, All the knobs feel solid and are easy to see and adjust even under low light. I keep mine in a rack 4 space rack with a Furman on the top spot. The power regulator in this amp is second to none, and is good for hours of long studio times, and great at the stage. It will not let you down.
Features: The ease which you can change channels, amp, cabnet sounds, is unblieviable. Few amps give you diversity in the useable department. Most amps come with two sounds that you can use, and 36 presets that sound neat but could never be used in a song or in a practical situation at all. I play in a metal band so I had no problem finding a sound and dialing it into thunder god in less then 5 mins. It was first dialed in on the fly during a gig, and had been out of the box for less then 10 mins. 750 real watts, of real kick butt, window breaking,
Sound: All five of the amp sounds in this amp are useable. The Rock, Clean, and GRIND are without question my personal favorites. I can go from Silk to Barbwire in one step of my pedal board. The Deep button will be your very best friend, conjuring up the kick you in the chest sub tones that every amp you have ever bought told you that you were going to get but didn't. I wouldn't even want to think about a sound without it. The amp did equally well with both my active Ibanez as it did with my passive Thunderbird.
Playability and Feel: There was no problem finding the sound of super deep, to a two handed tapping solo. The set up time and learning curve was non existent. I did it on the fly at a gig. From Grindcore, to Hard Rock, This is the amp for every guy and girl out there that wanted there sound to do the talking for them. Enjoy it
Tone: I personally played this amp threw my Mesa/Boogie cab, a Power House 1000 4x10 1x15. The sound is pure sonic joy as I could lay down thundering lows that shook the stage. It was easy to find the deep pocket style of bass playing that I personally like without any sound re-enforcement. This replaced my entire pedal board full of stuff. A truly great way to clean up the front of the stage where I once had a lot of clutter near my mic. With all of that gone I now have even more room to run and stomp about. The chorus in this amp is awesome and add all the glisten to the top that I wanted without carving out the bottom end. The compressor, is great for that sonic squeezes and smoothed out the bumpy and dusty sounds from my play with fingers, to play with a pick songs. The DI out made the "mic in the way" problem a thing go away, and the A.I.R. DI feature where it sends your sound, not some idea of your sound to the board is great.
Finish: Its a chrome plated tank with a ground effects kit. It is brushed steel, black chrome... Very metal.
Action: This amp went from the UPS pick up, to my truck, to the rack box, and was dialed in while I set up to play in-front of 200 people. No problems finding out what was what, and I did it all without the benefits of a manual. This amp is intuitive like your iPod is. You just plug in, and you get it. Simple controls, and names that mean what they do. No learning curve, no worries.
