| It's an OK product in my estimation and I've used tons of different effects units over the years I've been playing. For the price, I'm not overly enthused with the unit. Like I said, the looper is good which is the primary reason I bought it. But there are other issues with it that I have to work out. I'm still considering sending it back. It's probably worth about 1/2 of what the retail price is now. Especially since it has the ability to store to an SD memory card and Line6 didn't even include a small card. I mean c'mon, SD memory is ridiculously cheap. Put a 1GB card in there will ya! | | Sound:
| As I mentioned, the tones are dry sounding and a bit unrealistic. I have used products from other companies that sound better. This unit reminds of the Floor POD that I use to own. Also, there are 12 amp models. Two of them are called Insane. It's probably called Insane because of all the ridiculous noise that comes out of it so I find both of these models pretty much useless for my applications. The pre-amp is loud and I'm having problems integrating it into my effects chain without a lot of background noise which is one of the reasons I would not use it in a live situation | | Reliability:
| Having only had it for 1 week, I can only tell you that I upgraded the firmware and it didn't blow up or crash on me. Seems like all the functions work like they are suppose to work. So I would say it is reliable. | | Overall:
| I'm 1 week into owning this product and I'm finally getting comfortable with using the looper functions and setting up the effects. In general it is a good looper. However, like previous line6 guitar effects products I've owned (ala POD), It find the effects to be dry sounding and very unrealistic. You can store up to 36 user presets with the effects and the system allows you to change the mode of the buttons so you can change through the patches. But I would not use this in a live environment as an effects unit.
This is my first looper and I'm happy with the looping functionality so far. | | Playability and Feel:
| The metal casing on this baby is built like a tank. I would not be worried about someone accidentally stepping on it and breaking it. The LCD Screen is recessed so I imagine it will be come quite dusty and dirty over time being on the floor and need to be cleaned frequently. All the jacks seem well firmed up. I'm not sure why they used a 1/8th inch jack for the headphones instead of a 1/4 jack when all the other jacks are 1/4 inch.
The knobs are cheap plastic with silver coating. The stomp buttons are pretty heavy duty but there is no obvious clicking sensation to them when you step on them. | | Tone:
| Like I said, dry and unrealistic like other Line6 products I've owned. | | Finish:
| The color is FUGLY. | | Action:
| It took me 3 or 4 days of toying around with it before I was comfortable using it. There are a lot of features and you have to push a button, turn a knob and move a 4-way selector to get at various functionality. So it took me a while to get the hang of it. | | Skill Level:
