If you record guitar you've probably struggled with getting just the right sound, at every gig & on every recording you do. POD was designed to eliminate that often sterile, over-EQ'd direct sound we've all gotten stuck with in the past. POD sounds like a classic amp through your choice of carefully miked speaker cabinets.
POD 2.0 combines Line 6's TubeTone modeling with their breakthrough A.I.R. direct recording output. 32 total amp models are provided including British, Blues, Tweed, Twang, Rectified, Crunch and Fuzz, plus mind-warping Insane models from the popular Spider amps. All amp and speaker models can be accessed from POD's front panel, so you can create any combination you wish!
POD also offers 16 digital effect setups including reverb, delay, chorus, compression, tremolo, rotary speaker, and flange. POD's new Custom Save feature allows you to create your own version of each different amp, so that when you flip the model select knob, all your favorite settings (tone, cabinet choice, etc.) come up by default. POD is MIDI compatible and even has a built-in tuner! A new standard in direct guitar recording, POD is the ultimate guitar direct recording/performance tool with acclaimed Line 6 modeling and built-in stereo effects.

| Don't waste your time with pedals and effects. This is the only tool you will ever need. It has so many classic amps built into the system, a tuner, multi-effects and multi control functions. It makes you sound better than you can imagine. You can take an Ovation acoustic/electric, plug it in to this and make it sound like Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock! Just a fun item to have and the sound boundaries are almost endless. | |

QUALITY:
Solid as a rock! I've dropped mine once outside and it had no problems!
FEATURES:
This unit is the lifeblood of my home recording and live performance tone. Without it, I would be totally lost.
EASE OF USE:
The "tap" button took me a while to get used to, but with the book, it's really easy to figure out and use.
VALUE:
You can't find a better price than what AMS offers...end of story.
SOUND:
Excels in tone...doesn't do super clean sounds as well as gained up and distorted tones, but it's better than owning and going broke trying to buy all the amps it simulates.

QUALITY:
The POD is built very well and should last a very long time, I take good care of my equipment, as far as it being dependable, we shall see, the unit was perfect right out of the box, no problems there...however the power supply was making a humming noise and a clicking sound I called LINE 6 told them it was a new purchase, they said they would ship out a new power supply right away at no cost...VERY COOL, Thats how a company should handle business.
FEATURES:
The features I like best would be the MARSHALL & DUAL RECTIFIER amp models, the SOLDANO & HENDRIX FUZZ models are pretty cool to, the delay is as good as any i've heard, the reverb also has alot of depth think Fenderish, it would have been cool if Line 6 incorperated more effects with compression, other than that they covered almost everything.

| I've had my POD 2.0 with the Floorboard for two years now, and have been nothing but happy with it. Not only does it have more guitar tones and
effects than one can possibly use, but it's also
100% reliable. I've used mine numerous times in recording situations and also at live gigs, where
I plug it into either a "little" Fender Frontman
25R or an old Randall 150 Switchmaster 12" Combo.
Volume? Fuggedaboutit. It is the ultimate bang-for-the-buck guitar toy, bar none. My hat's off to
the POD XT, which is just more of the same thing.
