Line 6 POD Studio KB37 is a powerful USB interface that boasts a versatile a 37-key MIDI controller, a comprehensive I/O and the stunning sound of POD Farm. From dark and smoky American combos to blazing, gain-crazed English stacks, the sounds of hundreds of fully adjustable amps and cabs, plus studio-standard effects, stompboxes and preamps, are here for you to define your music and cement your place in history.

In 1998, Line 6 released Amp Farm amp modeling plug-in and forever changed the way guitarists record. Ten years and dozens of groundbreaking creations later, Line 6 continues the recording revolution with POD Farm.

POD Farm plug-in features the sounds of sought-after vintage essentials and must-have modern monsters necessary for a pro-sounding recording. It includes 18 immortal guitar amps (modeled after Fender Deluxe Reverb, Marshall JCM-800, Vox AC-30 Top Boost, Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier, and more), 24 guitar cabs, 5 bass amps and 5 bass cabs, 29 essential stompbox and studio effects (modeled after EP-1 Tube Echoplex, Ibanez Tube Screamer, MXR Phase 90, LA-2A studio compression, and more) and 6 crucial mic preamps (modeled after Neve 1073, Avalon Vt737, API 512c, and more).

Drag and drop models into the signal flow, pre or post amplifier. The carousel-style gear browser, displaying each and every coveted model, provides an experience that’s a dream come true. Creating classic tones or imaginative hybrids is incredibly fast and easy.

Fully adjustable, each model offers total tweak capability. Also, with hundreds of presets available, classic gear combinations can be chosen to provide timeless tones in an instant.

POD Farm is Mac AU/RTAS/VST and Windows RTAS/VST compatible for seamless integration with all major recording software applications.

This product requires an iLok USB Smart Key (not included) and an Internet connection for activation.

Excellent All-In-One Interface!

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
The KB37 is made out of plastic which makes it "feel" cheap, but I've had no durability or operational problems at all.

It pretty much does everything or facilitates what it doesn't do. It acts as an interface for vocals and instruments, controls software instruments, and acts as a control surface for your DAW. You can also plug in additional footswitches and expression pedals for additional control, and route other devices (like a drum machine or other keyboard) through the interface, making recording of other gear extremely easy.

Incredibly easy to set up and use. Drivers installed on Windows 7 no problem and as noted above, SONAR 8.5 has a MIDI preset, so a couple of mouse clicks and I was up and recording.

How is its Tone?
The KB37 doesn't produce its own sounds, but does its job as an interface flawlessly. No signal coloring or loss problems here.

How was the action out of the box?
Very nice--not to stiff and not too soft. Very realistic feel and easy to play.

Was this item an overall good value?
For what you are getting (a recording interface with multiple I/O, MIDI controller, keyboard controller, and DAW control) this is an excellent value. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who needs an interface and is going to use software instruments as well. SONAR 8.5 even has an in-the-box MIDI preset for the KB37!!
