Digital and Tube Combination
After working closely with the digital experts from Softube, Marshall created a digital and tube combo amplifier solution that offers a multitude of tones, the Marshall JMD102 Guitar Combo Amplifier allows the guitarist to experience and experiment with a variety of preamplifier topologies from Marshall's history, all in combination with the power and warmth of a traditional EL34 based power amp stage.

Tones
The Marshall JMD102 Guitar Combo Amplifier features a compilation of tones created by Marshall over the last 45 years, from a vintage plexi, to a JCM 800, all the way through to a high gain JVM. For instance, have you ever wondered what a 1974 preamp would sound like through a monster 100 watt tube stage with a hint of reverb for ambience? JMD102 lets you do that. Do you want to try a Guv'nor pedal through the power of a Marshall 50/50 power amp and a hi-fi style delay? JMD102 lets you do that too.

So adaptable and versatile, the Marshall JMD102 Guitar Combo Amplifier is completely programmable, allowing you to store your sounds and then access them again with ease.

Awesome combo amp.
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Class act amp. Built well with seemingly good components and Celestion speakers.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
A few months now, only, and doing well. Wouldn't mind getting another one in case of future problems. I like the amp that much.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
I can get awesomely beautiful tones out of this amp at any volume level. Even turned down to bedroom level it sounds great.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It really makes a decent guitar sound great and a great guitar awesome. There are easy controls to get a huge array of sounds and the delay is very excellent. The reverb is also good.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
This amp has remarkable tones readily available. It has just incredible tones at hand and is not only the best modeling amp I own, surpassing my Vox VT30 which is no slouch, but it's definitely one of the best amps I own period, if not the best. I have some pretty awesome other amps, so this is saying a lot.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Very nice appearance and quality appointments. It is a good lay out with lots of connectivity.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
This amp responds really well to the guitar, unlike some modeling amps or pedals like the Line Six HD500 that seem to take the guitar out of the picture and do their own thing to the sound and tone. This amp responds to the guitars control knobs and reproduces the sound of the guitar in the process of amplifying its sound in a huge variety of models.

Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
The digital aspect of this amp is very tranparent, you will forget all about its components after playing it for a while.
