Marshall MG Half Stack Guitar AmplifierThe Marshall MG Half Stack includes the MG100HDFX Head and one MG412A cabinet.
Complete with a 4x12 Cabinet and Marshall MG100HDFX 100 watt head, the MG100HDFX has two footswitchable channels that each offer a pair of selectable modes - Clean/Crunch on the Clean Channel and OD1/OD2 on the Overdrive Channel. Each channel has independent tone controls for Bass, Middle and Treble, and the Overdrive Channel also features Marshall's critically acclaimed Contour control for tonal versatility.
Higher Gain settings on the Clean Channel will yield a healthy, bluesy overdrive, especially when the Crunch mode is selected. This said, when in Clean mode, this channel has loads of headroom which makes high levels of clean performance easily attainable. The Overdrive Channel's OD1 mode is reminiscent of the throaty drive that has made our vintage amps famous, while OD2 is brimming with modern, high gain aggression.

| So far it's great, seems to be well made.Solid state ,so i dont have any worries when we drag it around to gigs..... | | Features:
| This is a friggin loud amp,you can erase the drummer with this thing. The effects are good,i like the flanger the best. | | Sound:
| The 2 channels sound great.I run the clean with a Rocktron silver dragon for distortion,so i get tube overdrive/distortion,and using a
Behringer 4x12 cab it sounds amazing. The crunch setting on the clean channel will never get used, but the overdrive channels sound pretty good. I also like the direct out recording feature. | | Reliability:
| I hope not to have any problems with it. | | Overall:
| I love it,i was never really a marshall guy,but i am now a convert! | | Value:
| A great value,if you want a simple amp,with a great tone,this is your ticket. | |

| I just got mine today. I played my SG thru it for about 2 hours, and I must say I am pretty impressed. I have a JCM 2000 also, and this sounds almost as good. It seems to be made strong, and should hold up to weekend gigs. | | Features:
| I like the onboard effects. They are good enough for whatever you need, but I prefer to use my Boss GT-8 ran into the effects return jack, which bypasses the front amp controls. It REALLY sounds great like that. I would add casters to the cabinet...much easier to roll than to carry. But a trip to Lowes in the morning will fix that. | | Sound:
| The tone is suprisingly good for a 600$ amp. Honestly, I wasnt expecting it to be all that good, but it sounds like an amp that costs twice as much. The clean tone is rich and clear, and the celestian speakers, although not the top of the line, sound great at low and high volumes. | | Reliability:
| I have only had it a day, but I expect it to hold up for a long time. | | Overall:
| My overall opinion is that this is a great amp, especially for the money. You get Marshall quality, good Marshall sound, and I didnt have to pay 2000 bucks like I did for my JCM. I would recommend this to beginners, and to gigging musicians. Anyone wanting a quality amp and doesnt want to spend an arm and a leg, should seriously consider this. | | Value:
| I have bought many things off this site, and this is by far the best value. You cant beat a new Marshall half stack for 600 bucks! | |

QUALITY: Head has a high pitched hum to it. Reverb does not work.
FEATURES: The contour control is nice as well as the FDD switch.
EASE OF USE: Only an idiot wouldnt be able to figure it out!
VALUE: Excellent.....BUT its like going to Walmart to buy a pair of sneakers instead of shelling out for a good quality pair of Nikes...In other words YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!
SOUND: The celestion loaded cab is awesome. The digital effects are a joke, not much diversity to them. It has a nice grind to it, somewhat tube like but with the crunch setting on channel1 on when you switch to channel 2 there is a noticeable buzz to it like both channels are fighting each other. With the volume rolled up the whole damned thing vibrated like it was all loose!! | |
