Marshall MG100HDFX Full Stack Guitar Amplifier with Two MG412 Cabinets

This Marshall Stack includes the 100-watt MG100HDFX head - a powerhouse of killer tone.
The MG100HDFX will easily drive any cabinet from the Marshall line. Unbelievable tone, feel and projection come as standard.

Its two footswitchable channels offer a pair of selectable modes - Clean/Crunch on the Clean Channel and OD1/OD2 on the Overdrive Channel. Each channel has independent tone controls for Bass, Middle and Treble, and the Overdrive Channel also features our critically acclaimed Contour control for tonal versatility. Higher Gain settings on the Clean Channel will yield a healthy, bluesy overdrive, especially when the 'Crunch' mode is selected. This said, when in Clean mode, this channel has loads of headroom which makes high levels of clean performance easily attainable. The Overdrive Channel's OD1 mode is reminiscent of the throaty drive that has made vintage Marshall amps famous, while OD2 is brimming with modern, high gain aggression.

The MG100HDFX's specially-voiced DFX section offers Chorus/Delay, Delay, Chorus or Flange effects plus a natural sounding digital Reverb with its own individual control.

Add in Marshall's revolutionary FDD technology, a parallel effects loop (with switchable level an Effects Mix control), CD input, Speaker Emulated Headphone and Line Output plus a Master Volume control, you have a world-beating head.

The MG412 is the ideal matching 4x12" cabinet for the MG100RCD, or any head or amp with a speaker extension jack. Ruggedly built and value-priced, the MG412 gives you maximum bang for your buck. This stack includes both a flat-front and an angled cabinet, giving you a real live Marshall stack at a real-life price!

QUALITY:
Seems well made, knobs seem a little cheesey. Vinyl covering is nice and tight and grill cloth seems OK

FEATURES:
Best features? Its a Marshall full stack. Sound is fairly impressive, volume is loud enough for gigging band. Digital effects are pretty good.

EASE OF USE:
Can you plug it in? If so you can use it...

VALUE:
Well worth the money. A full stack for under $1000.00 Not too bad.

SOUND:
Sound is a personal opinion. I haven't quite found THE sound I am looking for. But it's pretty close. The clean channel is really sweet. The overdrive is ok but maybe a little weak, but again, that's me, my wife, (who is my drummer) thinks it sounds terrific.

Overall: What does a Marshall sound like? Strenght, warmth, beauty, and destruction, all wrapped up in a giant wrecking ball!

QUALITY:
The quality of the amp so far seems to be good, It was packaged well and evrything works fine.

FEATURES:
I did not know that this amp is NOT full sized. I mean it is a full stack but the cabinets are much smaller than a standard cabinet. It does not have enough bass in its sound. The effects are cool.

EASE OF USE:
Very easy to use. If youve ever owned an amp you will have no trouble.

VALUE:
This amp was cheap and if you play in a rock band you will probably be satisfied.

SOUND:
Again with the small cabinets you get no bass...It sounds like a combo amp. The distortion is a little to old school for me...On its highest settings it still has that blues crunch sound to it. I play in a metal band and it does not have enough gain...trust me! Again though if you play in a rock band you will probably like it.
