The action is smooth. The sound projection is impressive. The tonal quality is above average in the high and low ends. This is a durable guitar for gigging or travel due to the HPL back/sides, stratabond neck, and richlite fingerboard. This created a single flat note on the high E string from the 11th to 14th fret. I corrected the problem by adding some thin plastic strips under the saddle...this took a few attempts to get the saddl height just right to keep the action low with no buzz when fingering frets at the lower portion of the neck....I will eventually replace the saddle. Also...the neck was factory set completely straight...adjustment of the truss rod to add relief corrected the problem.
