Playability and Feel
Very Nice!
Your general opinion of this product.
Very suprised by the quaility and tone. Sounds great plugged or unplugged.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Very well made. Stays in tune, plays great. The laminated neck feels and plays great. I've always been a purist as far as natural wood construction but this neck could probably be driven over with a truck and take it. No warp issues either.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It's just right. Love the sound hole controls.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Great balance across all strings. Projects well. More on the smooth side for sound color, but it is penty loud unplugged. I was never a fan of under-the-saddle pickups but this one sounds natural, "woody" and not "quacky."
How was the action out of the box?
Plays very nice all the way up the Frets. Low but no buzz, even when strumming hard. It still projects well while finger picking.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Very nice looking. I would prefer a less dull finish and some binding, but hey, I bought this to gig with and I needed a workhorse that didn't show road rash. I have no problems with the laminated neck and HPL back and sides. It still sounds great.
How has it stood up over time?
Only had it for about a month but I have zero complaints.
