Due to the development of an industry leading ultra-high quality steel core, Martin SP strings resist breakage better than average strings. In addition, both the core wires and the plain strings are plated with a smooth, acoustic bronze finish. | I have these strings on 2 guitars, a Guild CO-2 and an Epi L-00. I had about given up on ever getting good tone out of the Epi, tried Tusq nut and saddle, bridge pins. Still sounded muddy. These strings (light) made it come alive. It is now fun to play. | | Playability and Feel:
