What is your opinion of this product?
I've always heard great things about this pedal, but never cared to spend the money. I decided to go ahead an do it just because i was trying to tighten my sound up. its as if i took a blanket of and tightened up the entire tone when im playing. its great at what it does, but there is a reason it is so highly praised by almost anyone to ever use it.

    Awesome tone.
Your general opinion of this product.
I bought both the Maxon 808 and OD9 from AMS. The 808 is for the studio, the OD9 is for the stage. The 808 has a smoother tone. Less aggressive upper mid range, a good thing, and a little more low end compared to the OD9. The difference is minor but there. The 808 is not true bypass and adds noise to your signal when it is off. On switch is a small button. The OD9 is true bypass, silent when off. It has a tool-less battery pack access, a larger stomp pedal, and painted markers on the nobs.
