| It's really hard to find a pedal that lets your own finger tone shine through, this is it.
I try to get the sound of a cranked up tube with my rig,and also have a sparkling clean tone with my volume backed off. With this pedal you can do just that, and plugged into a marshall...well,your Stevie,or Jimmie,or Keith,or whoever you wanna be.
But above all else,it will sound like you,no cover up's here!!

QUALITY: Yes It's sturdy
FEATURES: The ability to dial in your tone.
EASE OF USE: very easy, don't need manual really.
VALUE: Yes but it was too high
SOUND: Desired tube overdrive at lower bottom, sounds natural
STYLE: Blues Rock
MUSIC EXPERIENCE: Playing live in bars since 1971
OVERALL: I liked this a lot, the only thing that I would change is the on off button to something square or round. Also needs "silent" on off feature.

maxon pedals...
(ren and stimpy) | | Overall:
| great pedal, just needs to have bypass otherwise it will suck the low end out of your rig even when unused in the signal chain. This can be easily fixed by running a compressor and an Eq | | Playability and Feel:
| from SRV to Killswitch high gain pick attack in the lead channel this thing is great (4oclock overdrive 11 tone 12 balance) with the amps gain slightly backed off) | | Tone:
| Very comparable to the originals.
Don't be a tone tweezer though...
If you play live at stage volume with a full band no one will know if it's a maxon, ibanez, bbe, keely...
As long as your tone isn't horrible or harsh on the ears
no one cares but you.
Seriously...
Be aware that your amp may have clipping diodes... Prior to wasting cash search around and find out if you're looking to getting that killswitch sound. Adam D uses this pedal but he also plays through framus cobras and framus dragons... even a 5150 from time to time. If you're looking fot that low end scooped tone out of a solid state amp or a tube amp with clipping diodes go but a metal muff with top boost. They have them here. Sound is compatible to the sansamp gt2 all balls out but not as adjustable. | | Finish:
