I had been using a friend's new high end and pricy cable with a brand new high quality studio mic. I almost returned the mic as flawed. When this arrived, the issue was gone - never to be heard again. The cable doesn't have to have a fancy color - it just has to produce results without issues. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.
