The MTD Kingston Heir Basses use large pole, dual humbucking pickups that are the same as in the Kingston Artist but thrown in with a
J (jazz) bass pickup to give the Heir an extended range of tonality that allows you to run varying bass sounds that growl, attack or deliver soothing warmth and other classic bass tones that have been cherished through the ages of electric bass.
A master of design, Mike Tobias has put more of himself into these basses than any other production line bass available. The MTD's Kingston basses are as close to a handmade Mike Tobias bass as you can get.
