Product Description

The Music Man JP13 John Petrucci Electric Guitar is an incredibly versatile instrument designed to keep up with the demands of John’s playing! With a basswood body, mahogany tone block and maple top the JP13 is a remarkably dynamic axe. The mahogany neck features stainless steel frets and rosewood fretboard with 17 in. radius that makes playing an absolute breeze.

The JP13 John Petrucci guitar is loaded with a piezo equipped Music Man floating tremolo and Schaller locking tuners for phenomenal tuning stability. The most definitive difference between the JP13 and the rest of John's signature models is the new Music Man designed preamp and custom wound DiMarzio pickups. The pickups are voiced to compliment the preamp which provides up to a 20 dB gain boost accessible from the push/push volume pot!

What is your overall opinion of this product?
I have had them all over the plus 35 years of playing. I thought I had the best but this is an awesome guitar. I got this from AMS and got it fast! Never had a MM before and dropping this amount of cash was a gamble to say the least. However, once I got it and set it up to my liking, I was like: Why did I not look at these sooner. Really its that good. So good that I traded 2 of my American PRS guitars for 2 more MM's (Luke3 and another JP). The necks are the best in the business. Now if you have larger hands you may not like the MM necks. They are smaller at the nut. For me, they are the perfect fit. The tremolo is great works like the FR but less maintenance. The body took a little time as it is a little smaller. Nothing bad to say. This is not a: Love it because I just opened the box. I have really put it through the paces before making these comments. It was a pleasure to have the nice case as I was not expecting it to be that nice.
