QUALITY: The receiver is very well built. Haven't had any problems at all with the construction of the unit.
FEATURES: Has a limiter which is extremely helpful to have for in ears. The seperate volume controls and LED lights are also useful.
EASE OF USE: Works right out of the box. Just plug everything in and it will start right up. Only takes about 3 minutes to set up with a wireless mic.
VALUE: Worth every penny, and possibly even more. The only real downfall of theunit would be the cheap earbuds. Get Shure E2s.
SOUND: The sound is much better than you would expect. There is some hissing, but it can be usually either completely eliminated or brought down to a level low enough that it really isn't even noticeable. Make sure everything is plugged in correctly, and try a compressor like the Alesis 3630 if you are still having troubles. I just run vocals through mineso everything works out very well.

| It's just like using a walkman. Frequency response is good. I only see two bad things. One, the earphones. My little $10 Sony earbuds work just as well as any. (Of course, the real-deal earbuds start at $700!!!) Remember, I said cost-effective, so I can live with my Sony earbuds. The ones that came in the box are bulky. To be comfortable, you need to use the silicon covers. They come in three sizes, but I don't know whose ears they were molded after, but not mine. If you can use the covers, then great. Otherwise, the clunky earbuds from Nady will hurt your ear-cartilage after an hour set.
The other bad thing about this system is the hiss. It's a little loud with no signal. It pops and pings and hisses. When you have a normal signal, the signal effectively masks the hiss and you forget about it until the signal dies between songs, etc. I fixed a lot of my woes with a single channel of a compressor/limiter/gate. It will keep the music level constant, so it won't dip d

| for the price these can't be beat. however the ear buds that are provided are the WORST !!!
Westone designed the Shure ear phones for their system and sell it for 1/2 the cost...they sound great! If you want to spend a little more money for the better ear phones it's well worth the cost.
