Following in the footsteps of the highly acclaimed TRUTH B2031 active monitors, the passive B2031P 2-way studio reference monitors are for audiophiles who already have their own high-quality amplifier. The B2031P delivers very neutral sound, has an extremely flat frequency response (55 Hz - 21 kHz) and can handle up to 150 Watts of power.

Tight, deep bass is provided by a long-throw 8 3/4 inch woofer with a special polypropylene diaphragm, while a ferro-fluid cooled HF driver guarantees clear and detailed highs. The unique BEHRINGER wave guide and the extremely low-distortion crossover network produce an absolutely linear phase response with excellent sound dispersion and stereo imaging. The state-of-the-art circuitry used in the B2031P is mounted in a low-vibration, magnetically shielded MDF cabinet. The B2031Ps are delivered as matched pairs.

Quality: Very well built, ok in appearance, (I prefer speakers to be heard and not seen) noiseless, uncomprimised construction
Features: There are generally not a lot of features in a monitor...noteworthy however is the quality of the connectors.
Ease of Use: no manual...The ohms are a little hot which is for the most part practical, but will reduce damping factors in the amplifier..so use a good amp.
Sound: I expected that the sound would be simply tolerable until I was able to get back to my main studio...The authenticity is impressive, there is no hype in any region that was detectable. I was afraid the mids would suffer given the fact that these monitors use such a large driver matched with a dome...The fact is the midrange has no percievable crossing point. In fact...other than great dispersion there is absolutely nothing at all exciting about the sound...they are dead honest...a minus for some, but I rather enjoy the lack of listener fatigue.
Reliability: I would bank that these will continue to hold up over many years. Mine were subjected to 24hrs of audio heating and it is doubtful they will cause trouble from this point.
Overall: Pay no attention to the low price, it is a fine product.
