Phonic Helix 12 MkII FireWire Mixer with Digital Effects The Phonic Helix Board 12 mkII FireWire Mixer is a 12-input mixer with onboard digital effects, a built-in FireWire Audio Interface, and comes complete with Steinberg's fantastic Cubase LE recording software! Featuring a 96 KHz Firewire interface that lets you individually stream up to 10 independent channels of audio to the computer and return two channels to the mixer for monitoring, all with near-zero latency. Pre/Post switches on each input channel allow users to adjust the outgoing FireWire signal between a pre-EQ, pre-fader, pre-low cut, to a post signal. An onboard 40 bit digital multi effect processor provides 100 popular programs, tap delay and a footswitch jack. Four extremely low noise Mic/Line preamps, each with 75 Hz low cut filters, phantom power and two stereo line channels offer a variety of input options. Each channel has a 3-band Eq and an option to send the signal to the Alt 3-4 stereo bus where several inputs can be grouped and controlled together. And tracking individual inputs is easy with the stereo aux cue. Stereo RCA inputs and outputs make the addition of digital and analog playback and recording devices effortless. Additional features include two aux sends, two stereo aux returns, balanced stereo main outs, master aux section with EFX to monitor, control room/phones source matrix and Steinberg's Cubase LE software.

QUALITY:
This thing is made very well, one blemish on the finish but no big deal for me.
FEATURES:
I really like everything about this, it's very easy to use,set up is beyong easy, effects are very nice,pres are great,mixing is a breeze!
EASE OF USE:
This was the easiest set up ever, the drivers are extremely stable unlike 99.9% of the competition. It plays very nice with all of my plug ins and Cubase
VALUE:
Best deal around! This is so much better than stuff twice as much.. like I said, very stable!

QUALITY:
It is made reasonably well, assuming your kids aren't playing with it. The slider feels as if it could become defective with moderate use, but so far, it great.
FEATURES:
Sound. The software works excellent with Sonar Home Studio 4. It's sound cannot be beat. After all it can sample at 24 bit depth at 96 khz.
EASE OF USE:
Very good. In fact it is about one quarter the size of my Yamaha analog mixer. I think it's size would increase its ease in portability.

Excellent, how could a ten thousand dollar mixer actually sound better. It could not. More features and channels, yes, but not sound better. |
