Pignose G40V Guitar Combo AmplifierThis Pignose looks innocent enough. You can even drive a 4x12 cab with this thing when it's cranked. Why does it sound so great? Well, start with the guy who was commissioned to perfect it; Dennis Krager, the world-renowned tube amp-meister. Then, take a look inside, you'll find two 6L6s & three 12AX7s, for pushing major tone. The G40V provides 4 and 8 ohm output jacks, controls for volume, master volume, treble, mid, bass & presence. Built like the time-tested amps of the 60s, this amp performs like little else in this small of a package (14x9x17 inches), and absolutely nothing else at this price!

Built in the legendary Pignose style, the G40V is small and intimate enough for the bedroom or practice, yet versatile, powerful and responsive enough for use onstage.
G40V controls include volume, master volume, presence, and separate treble, mid and bass controls.
This little guy drives additional cabinets with ease with its 4ohm or 8ohm output jacks. The G-40V also sets new performance standards for affordable compact tube amps.

Seems well built and solid.
FEATURES:
I would pay more if it had a headphone jack and reverb.

Very easy to use and dial up different tones.

Excellent value. Fender Blues Junior sound for a lot less money.

Chinese quickie construction. Average quality components
It has everything you really need. Reverb would make it a perfect score.
I can't find a bad sound in the amp ....okay maybe one or two.

Only needs reverb & mabe an efects loop, a head phone jack would be nice also as long as I'm dreaming.
EASE OF USE:
strate forward, keep the mid control under 2, outher wise the other controlls won't have hardly any efect!
VALUE:
Worth every penny & then some!

Excellent, but it has a bridge rectifier in it, it's punchy, I'd prefer a nice saging 5u4, but for the price I can live with it! | |

Outstanding tube sound, great bluesy tone without effects, but add a blues driver stomp box and this baby cries, screams and creams tone. 5
