Numark Mixtrack is a powerhouse controller in a compact chassis for performing and producing with DJ software. The familiar layout works just like two decks and a mixer so whether you're a seasoned professional or building your DJ skills, Mixtrack is easy to learn and handles advanced techniques. Familiar Layout
Mixtrack has two deck controller sections with large touch-activated jog wheels and transports controls. Whether you're used to a CD player, turntables, or any other traditional DJ hardware, you'll find getting around easy. The center of Mixtrack’s surface is its mixer section with a smooth crossfader, line faders, deck EQs, and more advanced controls for looping and effects.

FULLY EQUIPPED, MIDI COMPLIANT
MIXTRACK comes with the powerful Virtual DJ LE software which makes it easy to mix your favorite music. Virtual DJ LE comes standard which integrates with your iTunes library for playback and mixing of songs. MIXTRACK lets you create professional sounding mixes at home or at live performances at parties, functions and clubs. Full MIDI compliance means MIXTRACK will also work with virtually any MIDI-mappable music software.

Easy USB Connection
Mixtrack connects to your Mac or PC as a class-compliant USB device so it requires no software drivers to work, and USB powers it so you won't need an external supply.

It is very good would to keep it but Numark biggets mistake was not to put an Headphone jack on the product it self for easy monitoring of your mix. It would be nice to be able to preview each track before they play.

I do feel that the Mixtrack is an outstanding build for the price. The weighted jog wheels feel great for such a budget item. My only gripe would be the permanently attached USB cord, I see this being the only concern with long-term dependability.

Easily the best feature is the extremely low price. Considering the amount of control and the quality of this unit when compared to anything similarly priced...all else simply pales in comparison. The only feature I would like a few more controls for FX, but only because Traktor allows up to 3 separate effects per bank to be used simultaneously...for any other mix software the controls are totally adequate.

Currently I've only used this with the full version of Traktor Pro. The Mixtrack was quite easy to use since the product includes the required files on the LE install disc to program it for use with the Traktor software. Once loaded, I simply chose my songs and began playing!

How is its Tone?
unfortunately sound quality doesn't apply to the Mixtrack since it requires the use of an external soundcard.

I love this thing. I own buttloads of quality DJ gear, but it's all heavy and for many paying gigs this is all i need. i can toss it in a backpack, i don't need external power, and it gives me almost complete control over my software...i hardly even need to touch my laptop!

For $150? The Mixtrack is a TREMENDOUS value! Most paying mobile gigs would pay for this thing 3x over!
