The Orange Crush PiX CR50BXT Bass Guitar Combo Amplifier is the ultimate bass amp for practice, rehearsal and gigging. With a 12 inch speaker and 50 watts of Orange power, the Crush 50BXT will put out great punch. If 50 watts isn't enough, use the Line output to send the signal to a mixer or recording console. A headphone output lets you practice silently so you don't wake the neighbors.

The CR50BXT also features a built-in tuner, speaker output for connection to an extension cab, and an Aux Input for connecting a MP3 or CD player to jam along with. All this plus the classic Orange looks make the Crush 50BXT a great bass amp for players at any level.

This amp. is the reason i switched to Orange. Again 30+ yrs. of tube amps. One 12" gives me better sound than four 10" . Powerful 50w. sounds like tube. Crystal clear sound best practice amp I've ever owned. Greg Jensen/Defect of Character.

The sound isn't very clear for my taste, but again, for the price....

I bought it for my 13 year old daughter. She decided to take after the "old Man", and play bass. I often jam on this little combo. As a long time Ampeg guy, this hasn't swayed me, but it's not left in the dust either.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
As stated, kinda muddy. The gain knob really kills your clarity.
