The Applause AE48 Acoustic Electric Guitar makes the popular Ovation multiple soundhole design available on an even more affordable Applause model that looks fantastic.
Ovation pioneered the acoustic/electric guitar in 1971 so no other builder has more experience with this revolutionary design. Multiple soundholes in the upper bout allow for more efficient bracing and tone contouring. This technique has been perfected over the last two decades on guitars ten times as expensive. Now everyone can own one! The OP4B onboard preamp offers +/-12dB control over the bass, midrange, and treble frequencies for incredible plugged-in tone.

Sound: had to tune it, but great sound for the acoustic side, haven't got a chance to try it out on the electric, but I'm sure it sounds amazing

Playability and Feel: feels great, able to slide up and down the neck easily, do not have to press hard either
Tone: nice and rustic, sounds great playing the blues
Finish: I got the Ruby red and it really does look amazing, for the price you are getting a great guitar, really does look awesome

Quality: Just recently recieved this guitar, love it! Well built.
Reliability: I've only had it for 2 weeks
Overall: I really enjoyed this guitar as soon as i saw it. I purchased the ruby red version and it exceeded my expectations. i hope to enjoy it more once i get to playing on it.
Playability and Feel: This guitar is easy to hold on to and weight is not an issue. the neck action is smooth and does not take a whole lot of pressure to play chords or individual strings. havent yet got to try the electric portion of the guitar as i am searching for an amp at the moment.
Tone: I just love the sound of the bright crisp tone on either the low strings or high strings overall sound is great!
Finish: Immaculate! Enough said!
Action: Perfect! had to tune guitar but i expected to do that anyway. i expect many years of musical enjoyment from this product.
