The Pearl PTC1175 Travel Conga delivers real conga sound from a compact drum that can be carried literally in a backpack!
The wood shell and stave construction is identical to Pearl's full-size congas and the Remo FiberSkyn 3 synthetic head yields outstanding tone while resisting fluctuations from changes in temperature or humidity. Five precision Allen bolts provide accurate and easy tuning via the included foam-handle Allen wrench.

Subject:The real deal !!!
Quality: on first impression this instrument definitely seems to be made very very well, touring w/ it will tell if it's truly durable but all indicators are positive.
Ease of Use: Very easy to setup, tune and play, definitely designed to be played easily.
Sound: The tonality of this instrument is good and the tuning range makes it a very flexible instrument, I recommend it for any traveling musician that needs a good hand drum that offers portability. Pearl is on point w/ this series.
Value: Good value/ price ratio, definitely when bundled w/ the travel case, a worthwhile investment.
Durability: I've haven't traveled w/ this yet but I will soon, but..it appears t be well made and sturdy, get back to you on this one....
