| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I had high hopes, at first, for this tuner. But, being used to a digital "needle" type tuner, I discovered the learning curve for a strobe tuner is rather steep. I actually debated sending the strobo flip back because I was so frustrated with it. The Strobo Flip is not like any other tuner you might be used to. I found it difficult to tune my guitars that were SUPPOSEDLY already intonated properly. Simply getting the strobe to be still (which indicates the string is in tune), or even just reading the strobe display was very difficult. But then I realized that this unit is so sensitive that the problem was not the tuner but more the INTONATION of my GUITARS. After I used it to intonate one of my guitars I noticed a HUGE improvement in it's tone! And after doing a complete set-up and properly setting the intonation on all of my guitars, each consecutive use of the Strobo Flip became easier. I found that once the guitar is intonated accurately, the strobe tuner is very simple to use. |
