| A wonderful 5 string |
| General |
| What is your overall opinion of this product? |
| A fantastic beginning five string-I've been playing a four string for years and decided it was time to try something new-I wasn't looking to spend a lot but I didn't expect such good quality for such a low price! |
|
| Quality |
| What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? |
| I have had this over a month. When it first arrived the frets were extremely sharp and I was going to take it in to get them filed, but over about a three day period the bass adjusted to the atmosphere and no action was neccessary. |
|
| Features |
| Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features? |
| It's an all-around excellent bass-I'm learning the fifth string and it's been wonderful to be able to learn on a good quality instrument |
|
| Feel |
| Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| Easy to get to the knobs, keeps tune impeccably through environment changes-winter to spring to summer in Minnesota, in and out of A/C, humidity, dryness, hot, cold, you name it! |
|
| Tone |
| How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? |
| I was not a fan of the stock strings, but once I got those changed out it plays beautifully. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| I really love the coloration and patterns-it's a darker blue than I expected but the graining patterns are incredible! |
|
| Value |
| Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? |
| I was not expecting near this quality for such an affordable price-it's not a $1,000 bass but it definitely works well |
|
| Playability |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| Great-the only adjustments needed were time to adjust to the atmosphere and new strings to fit my preferences. |
