| Basically, I fell in love with it when I played it right out of the packaging. It's an awsome 5 string for a beginner. The neck is a little wide at the nut, but, hey, don't let that stop you from ordering it, it's an awsome bass. I recommend it for the 5 string beginner. If you plan to purchase your first one, make it this one. It's awsome. | |

| | | Subject: | Quality Chinese Peavey 5 | | Overall:
| OVERALL: The Peavey 5 string bass is a great surprise. I didn't know what to expect for the price I paid. The quality in workmanship is A-1. The sound is great and the playability is that of a more expensive bass.
QUALITY: Finish is flawless. No rough areas on the neck where the frets are attached. Perfectly balanced.
FEATURES: Excellent access to the truss rod adjustment. Ease of controls. String through really gives sustaine.
EASE OF USE: Very comfortable. Balanced so you don't have to fight the neck when you play. Makes playing easier
VALUE: The quality of this bass for the price charged was unheard of! It is made in China, but it is a Peavey all in all.
SOUND: Good over all tone. On the bass amp that I have at home, it is a little distorted on the "E" string. But playing through a 10" practice amp may be the reason. This weekend I'll be giging with it on the Hartke 4x10 setu |
