I am not sure if it is dependable, I have only had it for a month or so. I certainly wouldnèt want to drop it - the amp would not survive a fall but the speakers look tough and the stands are rugged. Features: This is a simple mixer or PA amp. The sound is mediocre but acceptable - for the price (I paid $399 Canadian for the mixer, two speakers with stands and two microphones) it is hard to beat! The amp has a cooling fan that is always on. I think this is a great feature as when cranked, it cooks pretty good. I wouldnèt really expect more features at this price and I appreciate the simpleness of this unit. Ease of Use: Very easy to use for me, I have minimal mixing experience. Rotary knobs for all four channels, eq and master are nicely color coded (ie: reverb always yellow). Sound: I run my guitar (Charvel So-Cal) through a Boss Micro into this amp. This creates some unwanted hiss but there is a noise suppressor built into the Boss which helps. I play with a lot of high gain and distortion, this creates undesireable background noise but not unbearable. This setup sounds great at high volume but not so nice at lower volumes. Turn it up loud enough not to hear the constantly running cooling fan and you will probably enjoy the tone. There are 3 rotary dials to help achieve tone (low, mid, high) and this is helpful. The microphone inputs sound much cleaner than my guitar but probably due to all the cabling and preamp effect of the boss. The speakers are very directional and just rotating them around on the stands can help put sound where you want it. Value: Mediocre sound but very good value! I have been kind of hard on this package but for the price I paid, I have no complaints. The fact that it comes with two mics is really cool. I have seen the mixer for $200, I got the mixer, speakers and adjustable stands for $400. I dont think the mixer is worth $200 but the package I bought is certainly excellent value and the speakers are really cool - so are the two mics. Do you own this product?: Yes.
