Subject:Great little amp for the price
Quality: The knobs feel a bit cheap and a light touch is required to dial in. The cabinet seems like it'll hold up reasonably well if not used as a seat or footstool and not piled into the trunk with stuff on top.
Sound: The nice selection of amp models is what makes it fun. Plenty of different sounds and tones to experiment with -- definitely not lacking in that area. The 8" speaker sounds pretty good at normal volumes.
Reliability: I've owned several Peavey amps over the years and they've all been built like tanks. This one, however, is light on construction; the open-back (looks like particle board) cabinet is a simple box, no reinforcement, but it's pretty lightweight and should hold up if not abused.
Overall: Now this is a fun little amp. Would be perfect for beginners and kids as the price is right and it's got enough features and sounds to keep them interested in playing. Probably great for adults too for much the same reasons. The manual was included on a CD with demo versions of Reaper and Revalver. The controls should be simple enough to learn with one or two glances at the manual.
