Sound: This really does sound much larger than it's size would suggest. I do wish that they wouldn't have used so many Peavey amp models. The Peavey Classic model really is sort of a strange choice. I would have rather seen another Marshal model such as a JCM 800, or a Hiwatt model, or an Orange model. If they felt that a Peavey model was essential, how about a model of the great Butcher amp. The K-stein and DZL models are excellent. The B-cat is incredible. The effects are good, though I prefer analog effects. Incredible for a practice amp. One thing is that it seems that there is plenty of room in the cab for a ten inch speaker which would be a huge improvement on the 8 inch. It would give more bass which with this amps hi gain models would be a godsend. Niggles aside, great sounding amp and a bargain! Reliability: Don't know yet, but Peavey has a good track record. Overall: It really is worth the money. The amp models sound really good. Playability and Feel: Tone: It really does have good tone for the price. Not as good as my tube amps, but surpasses anything else I have played in the $100 range. Finish: The finish is good quality, but there are a couple things that could improve this amp and make it a lot sturdier. The back of the cab is completely open which makes the speaker vulnerable. They just need a panel at the bottom of the back of the cab to fix this and would make less front/top heavy. Also, the pictures show fairly large feet and it has feet on it that you would usually see on an effects pedal. Another thing that would help keep it sturdy. Action: The controls all seem sturdy and the lights around them really works a treat. Very easy to know what settings and effects your using, except the Delay and Reverb.
