The Presonus AudioBox 1818VSL USB Audio Interface is without question, the finest professional USB audio/MIDI interface on the market! The 1818VSL can record 18 tracks simultaneously and offers near-zero-latency dynamics processing, parametric EQ, reverb, and delay effects.
Recording bands and project-studio owners will love the revolutionary 18 channel, rackmount AudioBox 1818VSL because it has the power of an 18 x 18 StudioLive digital mixer, including signal processing with near-zero latency and the same high-end pro audio quality, including high-headroom XMAX Class A preamps. | Features |
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
8 XLR inputs, SPDIF, zero-latency monitoring and a ton of other potentially great features, all on a USB port. Sounds good, but it simply did not work for me.
|
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Very tricky to set up on a PC. I spent over 2 days trying to get this unit to work, with heavy tweaking and optimization (I am not a computer or recording novice). Drivers are poor at best, and the VSL software is somewhat memory heavy.

General
Your general opinion of this product.
My recommendation: Do not buy this product! Perhaps Presonus will release better drivers that actually make this a functional unit, but in the meantime, try something else.
