An exceptionally figured flame maple top that was hand selected by PRS and AMS makes this model a stunning instrument. With the ability to plug into musicians favorite electric guitar or acoustic guitar amp or DI into a soundboard, the PRS Paul Reed Smith P22WL Trem is able to apply itself to many different genres. With the addition of the tremolo bridge, this guitar gives the same classic humbucking tones and genuine acoustic sounds as the original P22.
Musicians preferred features have also been maintained in the P22 Trem model including: the voicing, EQ, layout, feel and the redesigned PRS/LR Baggs piezo board. Also, with sacrificing any of the proprietary specifications, PRS was able to keep the same bridge materials and design. The P22 Trem’s 53/10 pickups also are proficient at combining with acoustic sound through a single output while making use of the separate blend control. Beginning with a proven mixture of a figured maple top, mahogany back and neck, and rosewood fingerboard, the P22 electric guitars with tremolo bridge look as sharp as they sound.
