QSC RMX1450 Power Amplifier

QSC RMX series amplifiers give you clean, dynamic power with QSC's legendary sound quality and reliability that pros depend on.
QSC combined their rugged, high-output designs with the latest circuit technology to deliver unmatched performance at a new breakthrough price. RMX amps have balanced XLR and 1/4 inch TRS inputs. Outputs include binding posts and Neutrik Speakon connections. These stereo power amps are only 2 rack spaces tall and 15.9 inches deep. Other features include ultra low distortion (.05% THD), a low-noise variable speed fan with rear-to-front air flow to keep your amplifier and racks cool, and selectable low-frequency filters to protect your speakers and increase headroom. QSC power amps are backed by a 3-year transferable warranty.

The new RMX Series amplifiers give you clean, dynamic power with the legendary QSC sound quality and reliability that pros depend on. We combined our rugged high output designs with the latest circuit technology to deliver unmatched performance at a new breakthrough price.

Muscular Power Plant
The power supply is the heart of an amplifier, converting raw AC power from the wall to clean DC for the audio circuitry. The RMX uses a powerful high-current toroidal transformer and ample filter capacitance to ensure generous energy reserves. This makes a critical difference in sound quality, allowing the amp to effortlessly punch out high level transients, even when driving abusive 2-ohm speaker loads.

Superior Performance
RMX amplifiers deliver true studio-quality sound. A full complementary output circuit using the highest-grade linear output devices delivers ultra-low distortion (<0.05% THD) & a ruler-flat frequency response. SMT (Surface Mount Technology) triples small-signal component density, enabling us to pack up to 2400 watts of power in a chassis only 2 rack spaces & less than 16 inches deep. And unlike other designs, RMX output devices are direct-mounted to the heat sink for optimum thermal coupling & cooling.

Comprehensive Features
The RMX Series is packed full of professional features that increase performance and flexibility:

  • Independent defeatable clip limiters reduce distortion without sacrificing peak performance.
  • Selectable low-frequency filters boost system response, protect speakers and ensure low-end tightness by more precisely matching the amplifier's range to the loudspeakers.
  • Barrier strip, XLR and 1/4 inch balanced inputs plus Speakon and binding post outputs provide easy connections.
  • Low-noise variable speed fans with rear-to-front air flow keep amplifiers and racks cool.

FEATURES:
Sometimes you have to be carefull of the cable connectors in the back . Twist locks will stay on however the plug in cables could become unattached as with practically any amp.

EASE OF USE:
once hooked up- extremely easy I never have to touch it. Rack mounted and protected

VALUE:
4 Just purchased a 3002 to go with these two 1450's. will stay with QSC Best reliability and dependability I can find for the money

Outstanding product! The only reason I can't give straight 5's is that they are indeed heavy...

FEATURES:
Every kind of connections you could possibly want

EASE OF USE:
If you can read (and lift at least 40lbs), you should have NO problem using these amps

VALUE:
I traded in 3 Crowns for my 3 QSC's

SOUND:
Flawless - even when I push them past their limits and they clip themselves out (only happened once in a wicked HOT club, was about 80 inside) they AUTOMATICALLY recover and begin pounding out the wattage in just a couple of seconds.

I'm extremely impressed with every feature of this amp. The rear mounted dip switches are extremely flexible and are just hard enough to set to make accidental resetting nearly impossible.

FEATURES:
Best feature would be the sound quality.

EASE OF USE:
Read the manual set the switches and go.

VALUE:
Best value for the money, period. When I purchased these amps, I looked into the other comparable models from Crown, Peavey, Yamaha, and Carvin. They all ring in about the same specs, but dollar for dollar you get more with the QSC.

SOUND:
The system we run is comrised of 6 QSC RMX 1450, 2 QSC RMX 1850's, 4 Peavey SP1's , 4 Peavey SP218's, 6 Peavey SP115M's. I use an RMX1450 bridged to each Sub, RMX 1850 bridged to each pair of SP1's, and 2 RMX1450's to feed the monitors. The system sounds awesome and is extremely reliable thus far.
