This stand was designed for heavy speaker cabinets including trapezoidal designs. It has a 300 lb (136 kg) total weight capacity. Features include 8 different height adjustment positions, and solid rubber rest pads that hold speaker cabinets firmly in place. Stands can be stacked for additional height and speaker cabinets can be stacked also. The WS540 folds down to convenient "T" for easy transport.

QUALITY:
BAD for Peavey SP4 PA cabinets! They are wobbly with the weight and a patron could knock the entire stack over easily! GOOD for amp stands on stage. Thats how I ended up using them :)

FEATURES:
The design is changed from the picture. The ws540 have bent corners vs. the more solid square corners pictured. I OWN the one pictured...and now have a set of 2 of the new version as well. The new set was intended to hold Peavey SP4 cabinets for the PA....NOT A GOOD IDEA. They are however VERY GOOD as amp stands so I didnt return them.

EASE OF USE:
Chop the "Weight Rating" in half and you have a solid amp stand. Ease of use is a no brainer then.

VALUE:
I'm a tad disappointed at the rounded corners. as stated earlier, the old version that I also own is a bit steadier at higher weights.

Subject:GREAT for bass amplifiers
Quality: This stand is well built, and is very sturdy. VERY unlikely to break or collapse. The metal is very strong, and the hinge joints are very sturdy as well.
Features: Very portable, since the four legs fold together. The height adjustment is also very convenient. The legs can be set wide apart or close together, depending on the size of your equipment that's sitting on it. Also, the four top pads that the equipment sits on can be moved inward or outward on the arm so that your equipment sits on them just right.
Sound: (Does not apply to this item)
Reliability: This QuikLok stand will serve you well for a very long time as long as you don't let it get thrown around and abused.
Overall: I give this product a perfect rating. I use this stand as a bass amplifier stand. I have my bass cabinet sitting on top of this stand, with my amp head on top of my cabinet. It may not work as well with smaller amps because you would have to fold the legs too far in, but it's great for bass cabinets or other amps of that size. You definitely should buy this stand.
Value: I think this item is just slightly overpriced, but it's well worth the purchase. And after searching around, American Musical Supply had the lowest price with the lowest shipping cost.
