Remo Clear Powerstroke 3 Bass Drum Head with Falam Slam is a single ply ambassador-weight head with an underlay ring at the outer edge of the head to subtly dampen unwanted over-ring. This design creates a near-perfect balance of response and tone control that has quickly made Powerstroke 3 one of Remo's most popular drumhead models. Recommended for all drumming styles and situations, a dot is included separately in the box.
The Powerstroke 3 bass drum head uses a 10 mil ring.
Rick Allen, Kenny Aronoff, Travis Barker, Sonny Emory, and Akira Jimbo for instance use Clear Powerstroke 3 heads. Tom Brechtlein uses Smooth White Powerstroke 3 bass heads, while Tre Cool and Stewart Copeland use Coated Powerstroke 3s and Tris Imboden uses a coated Powerstroke 3 snare head.

First and foremost, let’s get something straight. Remo is a drummer’s drumhead company. After all, for over 45 years, Remo has constantly and consistently broken new ground when it comes to industry firsts. While we were doing what we do best, the competition continued to chase, follow and mimic our technological prowess. An Unusually Durable, Inexpensive, Weather Resistant Material
The Remo story began after WWII when experiments were being made with Mylar, a polyester film made by DuPont. (Mylar was used during the war as a heat resistant film for nighttime reconnaissance flights.) This unusually durable, inexpensive, weather resistant material that provided previously unattainable pitch, tone and consistency intrigued Remo D. Belli, an already successful drummer. And, because of Mylar, Remo began his legacy with the Weatherking drumheads, the very first Remo first.
Innovation and Technical Sophistication
Throughout the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, Remo continued to innovate and became the world’s drumhead specialist in virtually every category. From percussionists and orchestral timpanists to drum corps, jazz, blues and rock.
