The Rolls DB24 Stereo Passive Direct Box is a two channel isolation device designed to connect high impedance devices to low impedance.
The unit is completely passive, and utilizes Rolls proprietary audio transformers for superior sound. A heavy duty steel chassis was chosen to provide maximum reliability when used in demanding live sound reinforcement applications. A variety of inputs are provided including stereo and mono 1/4 inch, stereo RCA, and stereo 1/8 inch (3.5mm).

The DB24 is an ideal impedance matching device for connecting any unbalanced stereo signal to a balanced system. Consumer audio equipment such as CD players, DVD players, MP3 players, etc., may be easily connected to a professional audio system.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
The case is sturdy aluminum with rounded corners and rubber feet which allow unit to rest or hang over on edge of angled surface without sliding off. The connectors, switches, and pots, were designed and built for long lasting service and appear to be of better than average durability
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
This passive direct box allows the user to convert from line level or low level through RCA and 1/4" phone jacks by moving a small micro-switch on the "Out" side of the box. The two separate potentiometers, one for each channel, allow the signal level to be attenuated to match the input sensitivity of the low impedance device the signal's routed to. There's also a single ground lift switch that affects both channels.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
The operating manual is abbreviated yet adequate to enable an understanding of the unit's functionability.
Sound
How is the tone?
Haven't tried converting a low level signal, but no signal loss or degradation could be detected when converting a line level signal.

Worth the price for the utility it provides. I expect this device to not require service in the future as it appears to contain high quality components and is ruggedly constructed
