The Sixty Two DJ mixer supports both analog and Digital Vinyl Simulation (DVS) playback. The mixer is bundled with Serato Scratch Live and includes a fully integrated MIDI controller for software controls.

Rane Sixty Two Serato DJ Mixer Features

  • Supports two computers, two-deck digital vinyl simulation, SP-6 sample player
  • Headphone output is available on both 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch TRS jacks
  • Cueing can pan between Cue and Main Mix, or Split Cue operation
  • Program channel up-faders and crossfader each have their own contour controls that let you adjust between a slow fade or a fast cut
  • Four stereo analog inputs
  • Mic Input accepts an XLR or a balanced or unbalanced 1/4 inch plug
  • Each fader has a reverse switch
  • Includes Serato Scratch Live DJ software
The Sixty Two DJ mixer easily connects up to four turntables or CD players, with an additional Aux input for samplers, instruments or session input, and four more USB playback channels. MIDI controllers can be added with their functions mapped to Scratch Live. All controls on the Sixty-Two are MIDI-mappable to software applications that support mapping.

A typical setup includes operation with two Scratch Live DVS channels, SP-6 sample player on an independent USB Aux playback channel and Software effects enabled on the USB digital insert in the FlexFx loop. This setup also allows recording PGM1 post-fader, PGM2 post-fader and the Main mix.

PGM Inputs 1-4
The Rane Sixty Two mixer has four stereo analog inputs for PGM 1 through PGM 4. Any of these analog inputs may be set for Phono or Line Input using the PH - CD switches. Any of the four analog inputs may be used for Scratch Live vinyl emulation control. Input 1 or Input 2 may be selected for Scratch Live Virtual Deck 1 control. Input 3 or 4 may be selected for Scratch Live Virtual Deck 2 control. Control input sources are selected in Scratch Live.

Mic Input
The Mic Input accepts an XLR or a balanced or unbalanced 1/4 inch plug. The Mic has a switchable line level option to connect a wireless receiver.

Analog Outputs
All analog outputs on the Rane Sixty Two mixer come from the same ‘Main Mix’ signal. Main, Booth and Session outputs each have their own Level control. The Main output comes from balanced XLR jacks. The Booth output is on balanced 1/4 inch TRS jacks, though unbalanced TS plugs may be used. The Session output is on regular unbalanced RCA jacks. Because all signals are identical, users may use any of these outputs as the ‘main’ output if a different cable type is required for connection.

Z Trip's Limited Edition Sixty Two Z Mixer is functionally identical with added bonuses:
  • Face plate design by Shepard Fairey
  • Purple and yellow accents
  • Includes custom purple cables

Overall Rating
The BEST DJ Mixer of All Time!
What is your overall opinion of this product?
This mixer has more options than I ever thought were possible that any mixer could have. From the multiple sample banks included for the SP-6 player, to the "on the fly" cue/loop functionality, the RANE 62 compliments the strengths of experienced DJs and can potentially supplement the weaknesses of novice DJs. The designers of the RANE 62 successfully incorporated everything that a DJ needs and wants in a 10 inch 2-channel mixer.
