Overall Rating
Does what it should do
Your general opinion of this product.
I already knew what this product did based on the original SL1 box. I bought this unit because I read serato finally included the cdj 850 to its list of HID compliant cdjs. While this might be true... please note that it is still buggy and feels incomplete (but definitely still usable). 1. The loops buttons do not display which loop your using on cdj. (Each button functions its 2 depending on if the light is lit). The light on the cdj does not light up to indicate which loop you are using.. its pretty much a guess 2. the LED in the jog wheel has a mind of its own.. it looks laggy and jumps around randomly (though this does not affect music playback in any way). 3. The cdj screen does not display what tracks you are looking through.. it only displays track playing. Now.. these are just gripes for my particular situation (and pretty much any HID user). Besides those things i still find serato to be a very pleasant well organised program compared to traktor and mixvibes cross.
