Roland AC60 Acoustic Guitar Amplifier

Roland AC60 Acoustic Guitar Amplifier

The Roland AC-60 is an innovative stereo amp with sophisticated DSP that delivers a crisp sound with lush stereo/multi-band, extra-wide chorus, plus delay/reverb. No acoustic amps on the market today, can compete with the rich, natural tone & versatility of the compact Roland AC-60. The 60-watt, dual-channel AC-60 offers both a Guitar channel (1/4" input- choose between piezo and magnetic pickups) and a Mic/Line channel (XLR/1/4" combo) with Phantom Power.

A useful Anti-Feedback feature is great for acoustic guitarists. Other features include a Mute switch for silent tuning; Stereo Line Out XLRs; mono Line out (house PA?); stereo AUX RCA or 1/4” rear panel line inputs (perfect for keyboards, or guitar synths); and a built-in tilt stand. It also easily mounts on a standard speaker pole stand. A direct TRS mono output is super-convenient for a tuner or a stage DI.

Two TRS footswitch jacks let you control chorus, reverb/delay, mute and anti-feedback (Use up to 4 FS-5U pedals). The Roland AC-60 is the perfect companion for coffeehouses and small club gigs since it even has a subwoofer out. At under 22 pounds, the AC-60 comes with a great carrying bag to boot. Talk about impressive!

  • Compact stereo acoustic amplifier with pure, natural tone and excellent projection
  • 2-Channel design: Guitar input and Mic/Line input with Phantom Power
  • Stereo 30-watt/dual 6.5-inch speaker configuration loud enough for club gigs and small PA applications
  • Onboard DSP delivers lush stereo/multi-band chorus, newly developed “wide” chorus and delay/reverb with footswitch control
  • Built-in Auto Anti-Feedback controls allow for maximum volume without feedback
  • Convenient Mute switch for silent tuning on stage

Big Sound in a Compact Package
Talk about impressive. The AC-60 is a marvel of amplifier design, using the latest DSP technology to deliver a pure, rich acoustic sound with projection far beyond its compact size. This stereo acoustic amp (30w x 2) offers brilliant stereo/multi-band chorus including a new “wide” mode, plus shimmering reverb tailored specifically for acoustic guitar. And if it’s more low-end you crave, the AC-60 even gives you a Subwoofer output.

A Marvel of Convenience
The dual-channel AC-60 offers both a Guitar channel and a Mic/Line channel with Phantom Power. This makes it the perfect companion for coffeehouses and small club gigs. The Guitar channel gives you a choice between piezo and magnetic pickup inputs, plus powerful Anti-Feedback controls. Rounding out this package is a Mute switch for silent tuning and a Stereo Line Out for connection to mixing consoles and PA systems.

QUALITY:
superb quality and loud as hell

FEATURES:
the chorus and delay are very tasty and easy to use. The automatic feedback eliminator is excellent

EASE OF USE:
I even use this with my electric and a zoom multieffect pedal and it rocks.

SOUND:
I play side by side weekly with my friend and his marshall accoustic amp. The roland has a better chorus and is much easier to dial in. The marshall feedback circuity is much harder to dial in and really affect the tone much more.

I bought this product based on my experience with Roland products. I don't want a product that fails or needs returning. Nothing sucks worse than a tool that doesnt work.

Overall:

QUALITY:
Very well made, and designed. I would expect to get as many years as the the JC-77 I traded in to purchase this product (17 yrs).

FEATURES:
The overall sound (using my Taylor 814ce) is phenomenal. The patented Roland Chorus can't be beat. It's simply the best. That said, I do feel Roland could inprove the onboard reverb. I don't use it. Instead I use an in-line Microberb. An effects loop would be handy, too.

EASE OF USE:
Very easy to use. In fact, a pleasure.

VALUE:
The price ($495) minus my JC-77 ($150 value)I consider to be a very fair price for what I now have. Because I have two other amps (Fender Blues Junior, and Vox AC-30 with alnicos)for electric work, I feel like I'm equipped, now to handle just about anything from stage to studio. Incidently, this amp blows the doors off the Behringer ACX-1000. I played them side-by-side. No comparison.

SOUND:
Very clear, very 'fresh'. Lots of low

Subject:Amazing sound for it's size!
Overall: I am a professional musician and have been playing acoustic and electric guitar for over 40 years. I just bought this amp after reading about it knowing that I wanted something lighter than my Fender Acoustasonic JR. I expected a bit less tone but was willing to sacrifice a little to save my back. I am pleased to say that will not be neccessary! This little amp sounds better on both my acoustic guitars (6 Guild jf-30 and Seagull 12 string) and my vocal sound is much better too. I have 3 other Roland amps now and I am sold. I was able to dial up a great sound for my guitars and my vocals in a few minutes. The sound is CLEAN and full on both channels. All the effects sound cool. Especially the "wide" chorus effect. It is huge and full. The amp sounds 10 feet tall but fits in it's own little carrying case. The case is perfect too by the way. Room for a mic, tuner and cables in the handy pouches. It even has phantom power for my condenser mic. I am still figuring out the "auto" feedback co

QUALITY:
The quality of this amp is amazing. Its pretty durable and probably will last anyones lifetime with proper care.

FEATURES:
The features is awesome. I cant describe how much features it has. It even has features you have to buy seperately with other amps.

EASE OF USE:
At first its a little intimidating to use. Aftere you understand wat the knobs are for its easy.

VALUE:
This is more amp for your money. You could buy a fender acoustic amp with the same amount but the roland will beat the fender value wise

SOUND:
The sound is amazing. I didnt expect much from a little overpriced amp but i was wrong. This little baby just blows you away.
