Roland AC60 Acoustic Guitar Amplifier

The Roland AC-60 is an innovative stereo amp with sophisticated DSP that delivers a crisp sound with lush stereo/multi-band, extra-wide chorus, plus delay/reverb. No acoustic amps on the market today, can compete with the rich, natural tone & versatility of the compact Roland AC-60. The 60-watt, dual-channel AC-60 offers both a Guitar channel (1/4" input- choose between piezo and magnetic pickups) and a Mic/Line channel (XLR/1/4" combo) with Phantom Power.

A useful Anti-Feedback feature is great for acoustic guitarists. Other features include a Mute switch for silent tuning; Stereo Line Out XLRs; mono Line out (house PA?); stereo AUX RCA or 1/4” rear panel line inputs (perfect for keyboards, or guitar synths); and a built-in tilt stand. It also easily mounts on a standard speaker pole stand. A direct TRS mono output is super-convenient for a tuner or a stage DI.

Two TRS footswitch jacks let you control chorus, reverb/delay, mute and anti-feedback (Use up to 4 FS-5U pedals). The Roland AC-60 is the perfect companion for coffeehouses and small club gigs since it even has a subwoofer out. At under 22 pounds, the AC-60 comes with a great carrying bag to boot. Talk about impressive!

This stereo acoustic amp (30w x 2) offers brilliant stereo/multi-band chorus including a new “wide” mode, plus shimmering reverb tailored specifically for acoustic guitar. And if it’s more low-end you crave, the AC-60 even gives you a Subwoofer output.

A Marvel of Convenience

Subject:Versatility in a Small Package
Quality: Well-made, well-designed unit. Well-thought out.
Reliability: Just got it, but I have never read a bad review for the AC-60. Boss/Roland support is generally good.
Overall: First and most important, the sound is outstanding. The AC-60 makes all my guitars sound like they should, only louder – the whole point.
Playability and Feel: It’s got a flexible mix of inputs and controls, including TRUE phantom power available for the XLR mic. Add realistic and practical digital effects, all footswitch controllable. And the Outputs! If you’re playing a large room, no problem! Stereo & Mono “Wet” outs to house PA, as well as a “Dry” true DI. Stand-mount capability also a plus. The anti-feedback has two modes: automatic and manual. Separate switchable FX controls on a per-channel basis would have been nice, but not an issue unless you use Ch-2 for vocals and are heavy-handed with the FX. All this in a compact and lightweight package with its own carrying case.
Tone: You can use it to deemphasize a problematic frequency. I have a guitar that resonates on the D-string and the next 2 harmonics. Able to dial that out with the feedback control.
Finish: Looks sharp!
Action: Everything functioned perfectly, as expected, out of the box.
Skill Level: Intermediate

Subject:My wish list came true when my wife ordered this Roland Amp from AMS!
Quality: I believe in getting a quality product for my money. This amp should hold up well if not abused.
Reliability: I have only had this amp for a week, so time should tell.
Overall: I picked this acoustic amp because my Dad can sing and play through the mic while I play my guitar. It is loud enough to sound good when playing along with fiddles, harmonicas, and pianos.
Playability and Feel: This amp is small & light. It came with a well made case that I can also put my mic and guitar cord in to take with me.
Tone: This amp sounds great with both my Martin DC-16RGTE and Takamine EG-10 Guitar. The separate controls are nice when using both the mic and guitar.
Finish: Nice looking amp, and good looking case
