Subject:The best practice amp ever!
Quality: This amp is very impressive.
Reliability: This is a very solid amplifier, no loose screws no flaws and the sound makes me believe it will last forever.
Overall: I use the power squeeze switch because the amp really is very loud. I also practice a lot with headphones and this amp is perfect for that. I bought this amp for a great clean channel and simple user friendly effects. Spend more time practicing and less time trying to find the right sound.
Playability and Feel: There is an optional foot switch to switch channels and effects.
Tone: You can get whatever tone you are looking for. For practice there is no need for tubes or expensive amplifiers because at lower volumes this amp has a better tone than monster amps any day. I mostly use the rectifier voicing for metal, but all the other voicing presets can quickly give you so many different sounds in a very simple approach.
Finish: The owners manual says to keep stuff off the amp's cover to keep it looking good, Roland thinks it looks great, I think it is a guitar amp, it looks like equipment. It has a good looking grill, and it's see through.
Action: Very good, every thing about it is great, consistent controls and it is very light for such a loud monster of tone. You just don't want anything more for solo practice sessions unless you look forward to having a hearing aid soon.
