FG Connects Live Project: Free Download
Made exclusively for the Fantom-G Series Workstations, this free download will emphasize the powerful live performance potential of the Fantom-G, adding new rhythm patterns, patches and live sets, and creating a new world of flexibility and versatility with new Motion Phrases.

Designed with contemporary pop, hip-hop, and dance musicians in mind, the new FG Connects Live project adds hundreds of unique tempo-synced effects phrases to create instant motion to any sound. Using the Fantom-G’s 16 dynamic pads, players can now experiment with adding combinations of filter effects, panning, cutoff, and gating to their sounds. This gives performers of all kinds infinite possibilities to inspire remixing and sound manipulation on the stage and in the studio.

With FG Connects Live, these unique Motion Phrases are preset in over 50 RPS sets, which are organized in many new Live Sets, and can be recalled instantly in the Fantom-G’s Live Mode. These RPS sets can also store samples, rhythm patterns, backing tracks, or entire full songs. Combining these elements with tempo-synced Motion Phrases adds a new exciting element to the vast live performance experience that the Fantom-G workstations are known for by players around the world.

The FG Connects project also includes:
  • Hundreds of new patches, including new piano, wind and orchestral sounds
  • New contemporary rhythm pattern sets and kits
  • New arpeggiation phrases
  • Unique RPS motion phrases
  • New Live Sets focusing on electronic pop, R&B, hip-hop, and dance sounds

The Fantom G6’s advanced sound engine is driven by a powerful new audio processor, providing musicians with new sonic depth and versatility. With twice the wave-ROM capacity of its predecessor, it contains a treasure trove of Roland’s world-famous SRX-quality sounds, but what really sets this instrument apart is its new ARX expansion which allows additional SuperNATURAL sound-sets and fully dedicated synth and effects engines to be added to this already powerful workstation.

Fantom G6 Features

  • Advanced sound engine with double wave capacity of previous flagship workstations
  • 2 x ARX expansion with SuperNATURAL — the world’s greatest performance-expression technology

Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
I did a little research before I decided to purchase the Fantom-G. I actually downloaded the manual before I even purchased the Fantom. I also looked at some videos on youtube and ordered the instructional DVD for it. The manual was cool, but lookin at the person break it down on the DVD made it a lot easier.
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
Got for a great price. Other places were talking close to $3000. Got this and the amp for less than $2500.
