Roland GI20 GK MIDI Interface Guitar Synthesizer with GK3 Pickup

The Roland GI20 with GK3 Pickup Instantly Turns Any Guitar Into a MIDI Controller!
Connect a 13 pin GK-equipped electric guitar or bass to Roland's new GI20... simple! The GI-20 detects the signal from the GK2A, GK2B or included GK3 pickup, and lets you trigger synths and samplers, or record your performance as MIDI data for sequencing. And with its built-in USB MIDI port, the GI20 is perfect for computer-based recording setups; the ultra-fast USB port facilitates glitch-free sequencing. Other features include a 1/4 inch Guitar output for sending your natural guitar signal to an amp; and easy, knob-based controls and dedicated buttons for fast, intuitive operation. The GI20's convenient Patch Memory stores settings, including Play Feel, plus Transpose/Mute settings for each string and Bank Select/Program Change messages for live performance. Flexible Transpose functions (+ 2 / - 3 octave) can be controlled by footswitch. In fact, the GI20 takes up to two external footswitches (FS-5Us with a TRS Y cable) as well as an expression pedal (EV-5). It is the perfect size and configuration for use with the half-rack Roland XV-2020 Synthesizer Module, filling one rack space if mounted in the optional RAD-50 rack adaptor. An improved GK3 pickup is included in this package deal.

If you’re looking to enter the world of synthesis, sample-triggering or MIDI sequencing using your guitar or bass, then this is your box. The GI20 GK-MIDI Interface detects the signal from any electric guitar or bass equipped with a GK2A, GK2B or GK3 pickup, respectively, and lets you trigger synthesizers and samplers, or even record your playing as MIDI data. And with its built-in USB MIDI port, the GI20 is perfect for computer-based recording setups.
