Flexible Transpose functions (+ 2 / - 3 octave) can be controlled by footswitch. In fact, the GI-20 takes up to two external footswitches (FS-5Us with a TRS Y cable) as well as an expression pedal (EV-5). It is the perfect size and configuration for use with the half-rack Roland XV-2020 Synthesizer Module, filling one rack space if mounted in the optional RAD-50 rack adaptor.
