Roland Juno G 61 Key Synthesizer Workstation

Roland JunoG 61 Key Synthesizer Keyboard delivers Old-School Ease and Cutting-Edge Features.
Look familiar? True to its heritage, the new JUNOG is affordable and user-friendly. But that’s where the comparisons to yesteryear end. This modern marvel packs a studio’s worth of sound, sequencing, and audio recording into one amazing instrument. Sharing the same high-powered processor as Roland’s famous Fantom-X series, the JUNOG puts a world of first-class sound and performance features under musicians’ fingertips and allows more sounds to be added via SRX expansion. Songs can be created with the onboard audio/MIDI recorder, all for an incredibly low price!

For songwriters and performers, the JUNOG’s 16-part MIDI sequencer is a must. But the addition of four companion audio tracks is a huge bonus, and an unexpected surprise for an instrument in this price range! Now players can lay down the perfect backing tracks plus vocals, live guitar parts, and the like. The JUNOG’s dedicated front-panel transport controls and mixer make the recording experience all the more friendly.

For an instrument packed with so many features, the JUNOG offers unprecedented ease of use. The aforementioned mixer and transport controls are only part of the friendly hands-on work surface. In all, there are over 50 clearly labeled buttons, seven knobs, five sliders, a data wheel, a D Beam, and a pitch/mod lever. In the center of it all is the largest backlit LCD of any synth in this price range.

The beauty of the JUNOG is that it can be used to by itself create complete songs from start to finish, but for those who want to take it one step further and incorporate a computer into the setup, the JUNOG can be linked to a PC or Mac via its USB port. All MIDI communications can be handled over USB, which can also be used to send and receive WAV/AIF files and patch data. As an extra computer-related bonus, Roland ships every new JUNOG with a free copy of Cakewalk’s SONAR LE software for PC.

FEATURES:
The options are limitless.

EASE OF USE:
The owner's manual is very vague.....i know it can do a lot, but it's soooooo hard to figure out. i have spent days trying to figure out how to record, and to use the live setting option.

VALUE:
They should sell it for less...around $500

SOUND:
Not Bad, but some sampling are really cheesy

Quality: This board is light and very easy to operate. A great board that will give you the greatest sounds and features!
Features: The Sampler and editing capabilities are awesome! You will have full power over your playing and track creating.
Ease of Use: very, very easy. If you know any Roland keyboard this will be as good as a piece of grandma's apple pie!
Sound: Oh my God! The sounds are fully editable and the 4 track sampler is a major plus!
Action: Just hook up and go!
Value: This board is definitely a steal when it comes to workstations. You could get a Fantom and wind up spending over $1000 more! Don't do it, BY THIS ONE!

Sound: BEAUTIFUL PIANOS,GUITARS ARE ARE OK.THE THING IS THAT YOU CAN FIX ANY SOUND SO THAT IS A PLUS

Sound:
Subject:It's the sound
Quality: Keys are like those in GW7 and juno D which are a little smaller that full size keys. GW7 has better feels, this juno G feels cheap.
Features: The sound is why I bought this juno, no regret but not completely satisfied, maybe I should've bought the original Fantom.
Ease of Use: It's Roland, if you are new to Roland than it might take some time to get familiar with it.
Sound: This is the reason I bought this baby, it has Fantom engine.
Action: There's no action and it feels like those beginner keyboards, very cheapy and overtime it starts making clonk sound...urggh..
Value: Hmm if you own this, take a really good care of it, don't abuse it, it might break. In about 15 years or so it might become a collector item :)

lisineing to the last posters comments, has me wondering, whats keyboard did he recieve? Nothing he mentioned is accurate to the JUNO G I have. Im a 20 year pro, im a touring musician with several renown artist everyone would know, I own several keyboards ( Motif ES8 a Fantom X7, and a korg Triton Extreme) i tour with exstensively. I bought this keyboard to ad to my rig setup, so i can free up another board for other things while im on stage. This board is very well made overall, although i will admit it has some things that could have been different but what can you expect for a board that does so much in this price range. One draw back is... the keys on the board feel smaller than normal... however a few minutes of playing and you get use to it . Second..... most of the board is plastic, with the exception of the top panel im sure reason s for that was to cut cost which is fine by me, unless you gonna drop this board, kick it around and surf on it... i
