The Roland TD9 Percussion Sound Module is the anchor of Roland's new mid-line V-Drums kits.
With hundreds of new sounds, real-audio songs and patterns onboard, plus new Scope and Quick Rec/Quick Play practice functions, full V-Hi-Hat (VH-11) compatibility, and 3-way ride triggering available, the TD-9 raises the bar significantly in its price range.

No more squinting a small screen — the TD-9 is outfitted with a luxurious, large backlit display with accompanying oversized buttons and controls. Its friendly, icon-based user interface makes editing sounds and customizing kits fast and fun.

Interactive Innovation
Play along with real-audio backing songs to build your musical experience base. Use the USB port to play along with audio files of your choice (.WAV), back up your data, or save a quick record performance. The Quick Record and Quick Play features allow you to immediately record and play back solo drum parts, or drum parts performed with the backing songs. Special connecting cable allows for fast, clean, and easy connection to the pads.

Subject:On of the Best.
Quality: I wouldnt hit it with a stick but seems pretty solid.
Features: Heres where the meat is... Tons and tons of great features! Tuning of the all triggers is a huge plus. You can edit to your hearts content from room size to wall construction to microphone positioning. Make it sound like crap or studio quality.
Sound: Unmatched even by Yamaha. Roland takes it to another level.:) I would have an acoustic set if I could where I live but after playing and recording with this TD-9 and custom built mesh kit,. its hard to imagine going anywhere without it.
Overall: I cant say enough really. I have played in many bands and toured for thousands of miles with acoustic kits. After deciding to give electric kits a try, Roland has exceeded every expectation. Set-up time is cut in half and sound check is a thing of the past.
Value: Still very expensive and I dont expect things to change any time soon however, I think these products pay for themselves over time and so value is good. If your guitarists are hitting on girls at the bar and you're still tearing down your drums, I consider that an issue. Think of all the time you will save... :)
