The "Quick Record” and "Quick Play” features allow you to immediately record and play back solo drum parts, or drum parts performed with the backing songs. Special connecting cable allows for fast, clean and easy connection to the pads.

Convenience & Stability
Whether you’re in search of a clean, streamlined setup for your home or a strong rack for gigs that sets up and tears down fast, the new MDS9 delivers.

Subject:From acoustic to this
Quality: It's like alot of things these days...alot of plastic. The plastic seems ok but for the money one would think there would be a little more to it.. It seems solid so far. I didnt give it a 5 star because it isnt a 5 star..as others suggest. It's not perfect...that being said 4-4.5 would be more realistic. Ive not compared this to any other electronic drum set since i havent played or owned one. This is the review for all you who want to know what its gonna be like comming from acoustic.
Features: I come from 25 years of playing acoustic drums(clasic rock and alt.) to this primarily because i like to practice at night as well....its a great practice tool and is much easier to play than an acoustic set. Iam not real sure how the live part is going to work out just yet. I'am sure it will be fine.
Sound: I bought this based on previous reviews i read giving it an all star...well...honestly its not perfect...the tom sounds can sound very electronic on most samples(not all) and the hat takes some getting used to. I wasnt very thrilled with it at first but its growing on me. The snare sounds and responds great as well as the bass. The sounds are good through a pa.
Overall: Only negative things that i can say about it are...sometimes the cymbals dont trigger...rarely but never the less it happens. If you ever play the cymbals softly look out...double triggering of the cymbal can and probably will occur. You must set both triggers to the same cymbal sample to keep this from happening. One more thing...the cables used to hook up the drums to the brain seem very radio shackish...like those $3.00 cables that fail if you bump into them....thin & cheap looking...if one goes bad you probably have to buy the entire harness.
Value: It's over priced for sure. Not such a great value. I guess you pay for the name.
Appearance: Looks great
