GREAT Short-Term Cymbals Quality: Great-quality stands, toms, lugs, and drum heads (holy crap, they're Remo Heads!). The bass pedal and drum throne that are tossed in with this set are also Grade A quality; they will last for a while. The only down side are the cymbals. They'll sound good, but their look will deteriorate after 3-4 weeks of continuous playing. Just purchase new hi-hats and a new crash ride whenever you can, and you've got a great set to play on! Ease of Use: It's just fun to play. After a month after purchasing this set, the cymbals started to look icky. The crash ride will look okay, but the hi-hats will get bent out of shape after playing on them for a while. They will still sound good, mind you, but they'll look ugly. Just a heads up. Sound: The shell pack has great resonance and tone, the 16'' floor tom has a lot of depth. These drums will stay in tune for a long time, even in your extremely cold garage. Easy tunage. Value: GOOD: The shell pack is a great value; it seems as great as any of the big brands out there. If AMS calls it a beginner drum set, PLEASE... do NOT underestimate this shell pack! BAD: The cymbals sound good, but they wear out TOO fast. They maintain the same sounding quality, it's just the look. The cymbals look like TRASH after you play on them for about a month.If your on a tight budget, these cymbals will be of good temporary use until you can get some better ones. Durability: The shell pack has great Remo Emperor drum heads, and will last for a while. It's crazy how low the price is for this drum set with these heads. The only problem are the cymbals. They will look trashy after 3-4 weeks. Their sound will be okay, but I strongly suggest buyers to get new cymbals, once they can.
