| Subject: | This Guitar and the accessory pack speak quality for a great price! |
| Quality:
| The SD 20 is made very well and I'm sure it will prove to be reliable over the many years of playing between him (and his uncles) and younger brothers. |
| Sound:
| The tone was really good however there was a slight problem and we attributed it to a combination of two potential problems: the bridge needed some adjusting as it may have been affected during handling and shipping, and/or my son being a novice. |
| Reliability:
| Based on the short time he's owned it he's quite sure it will be a guitar that he'll pass on to his younger brothers as he gets better at playing and moving up in higher end guitars. |
| Overall:
| upon receiving the Silvertone SD20 guitar with all the accessories, my son was "blown away"! I bought the guitar for his birthday and it was his first. He'd been using his uncle's, a special, hand made customized one made by a world re-known guitar maker from Spain - this was made and given to him over 40 years ago. My brother was happy to get his guitar back and my son was in the clouds over having his own and felt it played just as good. |
| Playability and Feel:
| My son's uncles picked it up and even though it wasn't tuned, played a few songs and liked the guitar's feel and sound. My son stood in awe and I could tell wanted to go up to his room and tune the guitar and start practicing and playing some chords. |
| Tone:
| The tone is dark and smooth coupled with mellow pickups as per his uncles. One of his uncles plays both country and light rock and said it played both really well. One of the other uncles plays more classical and jazz and liked the sound for those styles. Based on this, the guitar will sound good for any music my son decides to play - nothing like good sounding beginners mistakes! |
| Finish:
| For a scratch and dent, it was very difficult to find any scratches or dents. The guitar was very nice in appearance and for the price, we'd be hard pressed to complain! |
| Action:
| The action was good and very surprising to me and his uncles, all which are experienced musicians. |

| Overall:
| awesome guitar. I bought it and my brother who has been playing for years picked it up and played it and made beautiful sounds come out of it. He said there is no need to spend more money that what is in this package (SD 20) and would consider buying it for himself (he is an awesome player). I am a beginner and find the stings easy compared to others I have tried. I am 36 years old- not a kid and love this guitar. HAven't tried the DVD yet- I am doing the emedia one first. So much fun. Fingers hurt!!! It's only my 3rd day. |

| Subject: | Worth every penny! |
| Quality:
| By the price tag, one can assume this guitar won't last. Think again! It's made very well! It might not be a Martin or a Taylor, but being an amateur guitar luthier myself, I noticed this guitar was put together quite nicely. |
| Reliability:
| So far so good. I've only had it for a few weeks, and it feels solid. |
| Overall:
| Overall this guitar looks and plays very nice. The best thing I like about this guitar is the Tone. I've had many guitars in this price range, and I have to admit, this guitar has the best sound..so far.. |
| Playability and Feel:
| The neck is a bit chunky, but that's the way I like it. |
| Tone:
| After you replace the stock strings with better quality ones, you will notice the amazing tone this guitar can dish out. Picked or strummed, it's got the full tone. |
| Finish:
| The finish is decent. Thin gloss finish. |
| Action:
| The action was a little high coming out of the box, but after I made a few adjustments, it plays great. |
