The Silvertone SSL3 has the classic lines and impeccable fit & finish that make it a great guitar to play and own. The SSL3 features a set-in neck and two humbucking pickups mounted on an arched HT quilt top so it delivers all the raw, bluesy power that you expect from this classic design. Equipped with a very meaty tune-o-matic stop tailpiece for additional sustain and volcano style volume and tone controls, the SSL3 is definitely the lead guitar players guitar. Let someone else play backup.

| Best First Guitar EVER |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| This guitar is made of solid mahogany...how can it not be high quality? Also it goes through quality control (at least mine did), which Squiers do not. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I have had this guitar 6 months now, and i can safely say it is just like the day i brought it home, except for a string change! |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| this guitar has it all! overall, IMO it beats a Gibson Les Paul Standard...at a fraction of the price! |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| the guitar is heavy, as are all Les Pauls...but that makes it sound that much better...very easy to play much easier than my Ibanez acoustic (obviously but besides the action the fretboard is much more smooth) |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| the pickups are perfect as they come...the sound can be as thick or thin as you want, that really depends on your amp for the most part but in general a bit thicker and darker since it has dual humbuckers. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| Finish is just as good as a real Gibson. The picture doesn't do it justice! |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| I can't say how it came originally since i bought it locally and the guy I bought it from had already taken it to his luthier for a setup. |
