| awesome guitar |
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| i was really happy with this guitar right outta the box, which was good cause i dont generally buy guitars that i cant try out first but because of the brand name and some of the features this guitar has, i decided to take a chance and it paid off. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| the playability is great, smooth moving up and down the neck, easy access to the higher frets and there are alot more frets than my other guitar. its actually not too heavy , its fits comfortably and its fun to play and the pickups are awesome, if youve never used active pickups before , you can really hear the differance. the sustain is great. i can play a note or chord and it will just ring out forever, if you like to use feedback in your playing and love sustain then it works great. the controls are nice, the pickup selector is close enough to switch quickly, two volume controls for each pickup so if you like to do the tom morello thing and make one pickup volume all the way off so you can do some tremolo type effects then its cool for that. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| definatly bright, crisp. hot pickups for sure, which ive mentioned several times. lots of sustain, great response. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| it looks amazing. the picture on the website doesnt really do it justice. i LOVE the look of this guitar , it just has that whole edgy hard rock look. i got the aged black satin finish and its awesome. i feel more like a rocker now than i did with my strat. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| awesome, its like they knew the action i liked to play with cause it was perfect. |
|
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| well ive only had it for under a month but it seems to be made very well, i have a strat and i feel like it can definatly hold its own up against an american strat as far as quality, plus i think it is much better than a strat for the style of music i like to play. if youre into more aggressive, hard rock, grunge, metal styles then this will be perfect for you. the only thing i dont like about the quality is the fact that it came with ernie ball strings that i had to change out cause they werent installed right and kept going out of tune. ernie ball sucks, GHS all the way |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| well like i said i had it only under a month so i cant really speak to this, but so far im happy with it. nothing has shown to be a problem and for the money i paid. im definatly glad i sprung for a higher priced model rather than going cheap. |
