Schecter S1 Blackjack Electric Guitar

Schecter Blackjack S1 Electric Guitar

Schecter Black Jack models are armed with the classic Seymour Duncan JB and '59 pickup configuration, which can be tapped via a push/pull tone control or a 5-way Mega Switch. Additional features include a rock maple neck set into an arched mahogany body, a rosewood fretboard, with black pearl dot position markers, high-quality Grover tuning machines, and a TonePros locking Tune-O-Matic bridge. The Black Jacks all have a very cool gloss black finish and black chrome hardware, and are available in some of Schecters most popular body styles.

The TONEPROs Bridge
The TONEPROS Bridge features a couple of nearly invisible setscrews that simply lock the bridge to the mounting posts. The idea is simple, but the benefits are exponential! Solidify your bridge in place like stone, and it will never fall off again! No more worrying about scratching the face of your guitar or readjusting the intonation and action after a simple cleaning or changing of strings. Your guitar will sustain and play in tune like never before. Because this bridge is solidly in place, your intonation will be much more accurate, and stay that way!

QUALITY:
The Black Jack S1 seems like a solid guitar.

FEATURES:
I really like the coil tapping feature. The tone pros bridge is a great extra feature. The tuners are great... nice and smooth... the strap buttons are nice and solid.

EASE OF USE:
The Black Jack S1 plays very well... It had smooth action right out of the box... the intonition is a bit off, but thats not a problem...

VALUE:
I would say $550 is a decent price for this guitar... I wish all guitars we're less expensive... it compairs very well against other guitars in its price range... except for my sg special faded...

SOUND:
The sound quality of this guitar is great. It has a heavier sound than my SG... but at the same time my SG has a stronger more focused sound. The sound of the 59 split is exellent while playing in the clean channel. This guitar had pretty much the sound I was looking for...

FEATURES:
the push/pull is a great feature

EASE OF USE:
the guitar is very easy to use and is very light on the sholders

VALUE:
great value. for the s1 and all schecters you get a guitar that should priced 1-2 hundred more.

SOUND:
the jb and '59 aregreat pickups. they work great for me when I play in my band. which is the heaviest metal possible. my band plays stuff mixed between metallica, children of bodom, mudvayne, unearth, chimaira, opeth, otep, fear factory, slipknot, coal chamber, devildriver there is tons of other bands that influince us. this guitar can handle any tuning from standard to dropped A. my band plays our six strings in a whole step down (DGCFAD) and our seven strings in B standard. I also have a schecter omen 7. The s1 black jack sounds better than my friens/my bands singer slash rythem
