The Schecter Blackjack SLS Solo-6 Electric Guitar has been built with the aggressive, metal-stylized player in mind and yields a wide array of articulate rock, jazz, and heavy tones. The Blackjack SLS Solo-6 features ultra slim satin-finished 25.5 inch scale maple neck. Its smooth 24-fret ebony fingerboard is set-in with an extreme ultra-access neck joint that allows for playing comfort and ease of access to the upper frets. The lightweight Mahogany body is also slimmer than their standard Schecter counterparts.

The Blackjack SLS Solo-6 Electric Guitar includes Schecter Locking Tuners that feature a locking screw pin to lock the string into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a 19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments. The SLS two Seymour Duncan AHB-1 Blackout pickups capture the tone that players want in an active design using balanced inputs. The result is 12dB to 14dB less noise, plus more lows, highs, and output.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Since this guitar is part of the Diamond Series it is made in South Korea. The finish is amazing and the chrome hardware looks great.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I've only owned it for one day so I can't comment on reliability but judging based on the build quality I will say it will last a long time.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
I am very impressed by this guitar. Out of the box it was set up perfectly with perfect tuning and intonation. The action was nice and low and perfect for me. It had a nice set of premium Ernie Ball Strings.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I have to give a big thumbs up on the playability of this guitar. It was made to shred. The neck is really fast and the slim profile is great. I rank this up there with my Ibanez RG with the Wizard II neck in terms of speed.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
These active Seymour Duncan pickups are hot and hard hitting with the volume at 10. To get a good clean I just roll the volume back. They are very versatile for many different styles.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
This guitar looks amazing. From the chrome hardware to the mother of pearl skull inlay at the 12th fret to the sleek satin black finish, this guitar is very impressive.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action was nice and low just how I like it. The intonation is perfect and it was perfectly tuned in standard. Schecter does a set up in the USA on their guitars which is nice. You won't have to pay a shop $40 to set this baby up since it comes perfect!
